Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels. If they are very uneven, place between plastic wrap and pound to a uniform ¾-inch thickness using a rolling pin or meat mallet.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush or rub the mixture evenly over all surfaces of the chicken breasts, making sure to coat both sides thoroughly.
Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping. Cook for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part.
Transfer the chicken to a clean plate, tent loosely with foil, and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute. Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
